SLICE Pickleball & Tennis
Policies & Procedures
At Slice, our goal is to provide a safe, professional, and enjoyable learning environment for all participants. Please review the following policies carefully before registering.
1. Registration & Payment
- Full payment is required to confirm registration in all programs.
- Spots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Programs may have limited enrollment to ensure quality instruction.
2. Refund & Credit Policy
- Refunds may be issued in cases of injury, with appropriate notice.
- In most cases, injured participants will be offered:
- A credit toward a future program, or
- A transfer into another concurrent program (if space allows).
- Refunds or credits are not typically issued for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts.
Our goal is to be fair while maintaining program integrity and staffing commitments.
3. Weather & Cancelations
- Outdoor sessions may be canceled due to unsafe weather conditions (rain, lightning, extreme heat, poor court conditions).
- For multi-week programs, canceled sessions will be:
- Added to the end of the session, extending the program length.
- If a program cannot be extended due to facility limitations, a credit may be issued at management discretion.
Participants will be notified as early as possible via email or text.
4. Waivers & Assumption of Risk
- A signed waiver is required prior to participation in any Slice program.
- Waivers are signed one-time only and remain valid for future participation.
- Participants (or guardians, if under 18) acknowledge the inherent physical risks associated with pickleball and tennis activities.
No participant may enter the court without a completed waiver.
5. Attendance & Make-Up Classes
- Make-up classes are not guaranteed.
- If space permits, participants may be offered a make-up in another session at management discretion.
- There are no credits for missed sessions unless due to documented injury.
6. Code of Conduct
To maintain a positive learning environment:
- Respect coaches, staff, and fellow participants.
- Display good sportsmanship at all times.
- Follow all facility rules.
- Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from a session without refund.
7. Safety & Equipment
- Proper athletic footwear (non-marking court shoes) is required.
- Participants should bring water and dress appropriately for weather conditions.
- Slice reserves the right to remove participants who are not properly equipped for safe participation.
8. Program Adjustments
Slice reserves the right to:
- Adjust court assignments
- Combine groups if enrollment numbers require
- Substitute coaches if necessary
- Modify lesson plans to best serve participant skill levels
All adjustments will prioritize participant experience and instructional quality.
9. Medical Emergencies
Participants must disclose relevant medical conditions that could impact safe participation.
In the event of an emergency, staff will follow appropriate first aid and emergency response procedures. .
